I’m currently using a Ryzen 5 3400G and considering an upgrade to the Ryzen 5 5600X. My motherboard is an A320M-A PRO (MS-7C51). Can anyone confirm if these are compatible? Also, how easy is it to install and set up?

You will need to update your motherboard’s BIOS to the latest version to support the Ryzen 5 5600X. Depending on how old your current BIOS is, you might have to do an intermediate update before the final one. Once that’s sorted, installing the new CPU should be straightforward—just drop it in!
Great point about the BIOS! Also, keep in mind that the Ryzen 5 5600X doesn’t come with integrated graphics, unlike the 3400G. So, you’ll need a dedicated GPU to get any display output. Just double-check that you have a graphics card on hand for when you make the switch!
Thank you, yes I just upgraded my graphics card but haven’t noticed much difference, which I’m assuming is due to the CPU. I upgraded from a 1650 to a 4060 (I know it’s not a popular graphics card, but it was cheap).
Thank you!
