I’ve been really enjoying my time on Linux with my 4070 Super using the open-dkms drivers on my Arch Hyprland setup. However, I’m experiencing some terrible stuttering with DLSS FrameGeneration in Cyberpunk 2077. The frames feel super choppy and slightly delayed, and I can’t seem to capture the issue properly since all my recordings turned out poorly. I’ve tried switching between different versions of Proton and using proprietary drivers, but even with FrameGeneration enabled, the game is practically unplayable. I’m at a loss here, and I’d be happy to share my video and driver configurations if that would help. Any advice would be awesome!

Try limiting the framerate in Cyberpunk. Capping the base frames to a lower value might help with the stutter. The slight delays are pretty common with these fake frames, but you can mitigate it with Reflex to some extent.
I had similar stuttering issues, but switching to Runit from the systemd distros completely solved it for me. Maybe give Artix Linux a shot? It worked wonders for my setup!
I feel your pain! I’m also running a 4070 Super, but I’m using the 570.144 proprietary drivers on KDE Neon and haven’t noticed that stutter. What resolution are you playing at? Sometimes, that can make a big difference!
Yep, this is a known problem over on GitHub. Unfortunately, there’s not much that can be done about it right now. Let’s hope for a future fix!
Yeah, I’ve read about that too. Fingers crossed they sort it out soon!
I tried capping the framerate, but it didn’t completely fix the issue. However, starting an OBS recording helped a lot during one session! Just feels like the AI-generated frames are a bit out of sync, and I still can’t nail down a proper fix.
