I’ve been running into some serious problems with my new build. Every time I install the latest graphics driver for my RTX 5080 Palit Game Rock, my PC crashes and I end up stuck in a blue screen of death loop. The only way to resolve this is by booting into Windows Safe Mode and rolling back the driver, which leaves me without any drivers for my card. Interestingly, when I swapped in my old RTX 3080, it handled the new driver just fine without any issues. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on here? Here are my specs:
– Motherboard: X870 Plus WiFi
– Processor: Ryzen 7 9800XD
– RAM: 64GB (2x32GB) Corsair DDR5 Vengeance

Yup, this looks like it’s a widespread issue among RTX 5080 users. I was considering an RMA too, but I’m also unsure about the next steps. Are you thinking about returning it or just using the old card for now?
I recently came across a review mentioning this exact problem. It seems to be a legitimate issue that’s affecting several users, not just you. So, hopefully someone can figure it out or point us in the right direction.
