Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of trouble with PS2 emulation on my Steam Deck. I was really excited about using Emudeck to play some PS2 classics, but it’s been pretty disappointing so far. I’ve tried a bunch of games like Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, POP: The Two Thrones, The Simpsons Game, and CoD 2: The Big Red One, but they all run super slow or have major audio and frame stuttering issues. I’ve already checked out both PAL and USA ROMs and set things to native resolution, plus I’ve got some experience with PCSX2 from using it on my MacBook M1 without any problems. I even did a complete reinstall of Emudeck and the emulators yesterday, but I’m still stuck with the same issues. Most people seem to have a good experience with this setup, so I’m really hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I followed a setup guide too, so any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hey! It sounds like you’ve already done quite a bit of troubleshooting. A few folks have had success with their games running smoothly, so maybe double-check your TDP and clock speed settings? Sometimes these are set lower than optimal, which can cause the sluggish performance you’re experiencing.
Yeah, I’ve heard that a lot. But I’m not super tech-savvy. I’ve checked around and didn’t find any settings that seemed limiting. I tried some adjustments within PCSX2 based on some advice I got, but nothing changed.
