I’ve been playing ESO on Steam using a controller for accessibility reasons without any issues until recently. For the last two weeks, whenever I hit the “A” button while the launch pad is open, it redirects me to the ESO website instead of letting me play. This is incredibly frustrating, especially in the heat of battle. I attempted to submit a ticket about this problem, but their ticket system is currently down. The only temporary fix is to close the launch pad completely, which isn’t a great solution for me. Can anyone help figure this out?

It seems unusual for a keybind to trigger a web browser, especially if it’s the default browser opening. It might be worth checking if any Windows settings or third-party software are conflicting with the game. Also, this could be linked to some keybinds related to the crown store, but I doubt that’s the case for your situation. Have you checked if any browser settings might be kicking in?
Did you check if there’s a keybind that could have been mistakenly assigned to the “A” button? If you’re unsure, resetting key bindings to defaults sometimes does help, even though you mentioned you already tried that.
What controller are you using? Sometimes, certain controllers can have issues with key bindings or misinterpret signals. If you’re on an official Xbox controller, that’s a bit odd, but maybe there’s a hidden setting or a driver issue?
I’m using the official Xbox controller, and it’s been fine until now. This is the first time I’ve encountered this issue.
I get that! It definitely sounds like something ESO might have changed on their end. It’s bizarre that it opens a browser out of nowhere.
