I’m having some trouble installing games from my GOG and Epic accounts using Junk-Store. I can log in and play games on my internal SSD without any issues, but when I try to install to my microSD card, I keep getting a “permission denied” error at ‘/run/media/mmcblk0p1’. I suspect it might be a permissions issue with my microSD card, but I’m not too familiar with Linux commands. Can anyone help me out with how to fix this?

I’ve found that the Heroic launcher integrates well with both GOG and Epic games. You can link your games there and even create a Steam shortcut to access them easily. Just a heads up, though, I encountered issues installing directly to the SD card using Heroic too. Might need to troubleshoot that alongside the existing issue you’re facing!
Could you let us know if you’ve renamed your SD card? Sometimes non-standard names can create detection issues in Junk-Store. Also, this might be a flatpak permissions issue. Try using Flatseal from the Discover store to adjust permissions for the Legendary flatpak so it can write to the SD card. Let us know how it goes!
I did rename my SD card, but I reformat it with a standard name—no change. I’ll give Flatseal a try!
It sounds like your microSD card might be formatted incorrectly, which can cause permission errors. Check if it’s using a standard format like FAT32 or ExFAT. If it’s not, try reformatting it. Also, if you installed some dependencies earlier, you might need to reinstall them, especially since there could have been updates. If all else fails, consider using Lutris instead for your GOG library—it worked great for me!
Thanks for the tips! I formatted the SD card with my Steam Deck, and I did reinstall the dependencies, but I’m still stuck.
I can use Heroic too, but it won’t install games onto the SD card. Just SSD for now.
