When I reached rank 25 on GTA online the trophy unlocked for me. I got to rank 50 today and the trophy has not yet unlocked. Is this a glitch or is there something else that I need to do to get the trophy to unlock for reaching rank 50 in GTA online.

This is a fairly common bug with GTA online. It happens to almost everyone so it is nothing to worry about. The trophy will unlock at some stage if you keep playing. Some people report getting to level 52 before the trophy unlocks. The same has been reported with getting to level 100. It’s likely some sort of cache issue with how the online servers handle player progress.
