Tips for Leveling Up Together in Guild Wars 2

-

My partner and I just started playing Guild Wars 2, and since my partner is new to MMOs while I have experience with games like WoW and ESO, I want to make sure we’re leveling up effectively. We’re focusing on map completion as we go, but I’m unsure if there are specific materials or items we should keep versus what we can sell. Right now, we’re selling everything that isn’t an upgrade, but I’m also curious if harvesting while leveling is practical or just a waste of time. Plus, where can we find better bags? Since we’re new, we can’t use the auction house yet, and our inventory is pretty limited.

You can get bigger bags as rewards for completing your personal story. Later on, you can score 20-slot bags from fractal rewards or World vs World. Don’t forget about seasonal events and achievements too, as they often have good rewards. Crafting can yield larger bags, but it may require access to the auction house for special materials. Check the wiki for a complete list of bag sources!

Joining a good guild can really enhance your experience! While playing through the story, consider using tools like blishhud for extra perks. Work on completing hearts and exploring the maps. Also, try creating an alternate character for PvP to earn rewards quickly. The most important thing, though, is to have fun and enjoy your adventure in Tyria! 😊😊😊

You don’t need to worry too much about staying organized while leveling. You’ll naturally unlock more options as you progress!

My tip: don’t throw away anything! Use your bank slots wisely and only get rid of items after doing some research. You might think you don’t need materials like Lucky Clovers or Mystic Coins, but trust me, you’ll regret tossing them later on!

Take your time and enjoy the leveling experience! The first 80 levels are really like a tutorial, so focus on learning your class and exploring the game. Don’t stress about what to keep or sell just yet—consulting the wiki can help with those decisions. For bag space, you can buy some from merchants or the trading post if you’re running low. Make sure to store crafting materials in material storage as you collect them. Generally, harvesting is worth it for building up materials and gaining extra XP, so go for it! Just have fun with the game! 😊
