Hey fellow assassins! I’ve been diving into the scouting mechanics in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, and I’ve found a neat trick. If you don’t mind not refilling your scouts with Mon later, there’s a way to boost your scouting area. After pressing Square to scout, just hit R2 to add more scouts and significantly expand your search area for objectives. Anyone else have good tips or tricks for scouting?

One great tip is to upgrade your stable; it actually reduces the cost to refill your scouts. Plus, if you help out peasants along the roads, they can give you scout intel for free! Super handy!
It’s actually not the stable, but other buildings that affect hideout levels.
Also, if you save people in the game world, you can recover scouts without spending anything!
Don’t forget, you can just take down random ronin on the road for some easy Mon. They usually drop a few hundred when you check their pockets!
Haha, every time they attack me first, I think, ‘Well, I guess I could use some extra cash!’
I actually found the scouting mechanic a bit tedious after 30-40 hours, so I just decided to turn it off. It felt like it was dragging the game out more than necessary.
I usually turn it off too, but I kept it on this time for some reason.
Thanks for sharing that tip; I had no idea!
Am I the only one who just avoids scouting altogether? 😂 I prefer exploring the area and discovering everything on my own!
I knew about the peasants giving intel, but I didn’t realize upgrading the stable helped with costs. That’s a game changer!
