Thinking About Coming Back to Apex Legends - Is It Worth It?

-

Hey everyone! I used to play Apex Legends but took a break for a few years. Now I’m wondering if it’s worth jumping back in. I’ve seen a lot of talk about “3 preds stacking every game.” Are there any casual players left, or is it all competitive try-hards now? I wasn’t too shabby when I played, but I’m curious about the current state of the game.

Honestly, it’s a free game! Just download it and give it a shot to see if you still like it. Sure, there are complaints, but keep in mind that players who enjoy it usually don’t come here to rave about their good matches. Give it a try and see for yourself!

From my experience, if you play ranked from bronze to early gold, you’ll encounter more casuals and a few smurfs. Once you get above that, expect tougher competition. There are preds in my casual games, but I’ve never been above Plat 2, and I still have fun! Just dive back in, play a few matches, and see how it feels for you.

If you’re coming back, keep an eye out for next season since it should bring in a lot of new stuff! A lot of players usually jump back in at that time, so you might not see too many hardcore teams.

The game has been pretty fun still, and with a new season about to drop, it’s a great time to get back in! You won’t face too many stacked teams at the start of the season since many people return to check out the new content.

I returned recently and I’m having a blast! Just remember, if you haven’t played in a while, chances are you won’t run into many preds unless you absolutely crush your games. The complaints are often exaggerated. Ranked matches can be different though; that’s where you’ll find more smurfs and tougher competition.

The game can be chill, especially on console. My main concern is that players often don’t play as a team like they used to; people tend to go solo and end up dying quickly. If you play the game strategically, it gets much easier, but the player mentality can make it tough to enjoy.
