I’m running a fresh install of Team Fortress 2 on Linux Mint 22.1 with the native version, and everything uses Vulkan with no issues. However, a few days in I noticed that a bunch of in-game assets—like cosmetics, weapons, and even some fonts—aren’t showing up correctly. Check out the screenshot for what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/2ZKNx5A. Has anyone run into this, or have suggestions to fix these disappearing hud elements and assets?

You might want to start by verifying your game files—I’ve seen this fix on other similar issues. It’s pretty common for some assets to not install properly, which could be why you’re missing textures and fonts. Also, sharing a bit more about your system specs can really help narrow down the issue.

Thanks for that tip! The OP mentioned they’re on Linux Mint 22.1 with kernel 6.8 and using an Intel i3 with onboard graphics. They confirmed that the integrity check did fix some problems but the HUD text still appears tiny. It might be a scaling or font rendering issue on Linux Mint. Maybe tweaking your display settings could help?
