I’m looking for tabletop roleplaying games that include a field medic or healer class that uses non-magical methods like bandaging and first aid rather than traditional fantasy magic healing like clerics or potions. Ideally, the game world would still have magic present, but the healing itself is done through realistic or technological means, like medicine skills or surgery. Any recommendations for classes or systems that emphasize mundane healing in a magic-using setting?

Pathfinder 2e is a great example. It has a robust Medicine skill with many feats supporting out-of-combat and in-combat healing through things like Battle Medicine. You can play a non-magical healer by choosing classes like Fighter or Investigator (especially the Forensic Medicine subclass) and even add the Medic archetype for a satisfying medical-focused build without needing magic.
Thanks for the detailed Pathfinder tips! That Forensic Medicine Investigator with Medic archetype sounds exactly like what I was hoping to find.

I actually run an orc monk tank who doubles as a spot healer using Battle Medicine. It’s super fun playing a non-traditional healer like that!
