I’ve been playing The Long Drive and it’s almost my perfect game. I love the concept! However, I’m looking for something similar but with a bit more depth—like dynamic weather, varied biomes, and detailed points of interest. It would be great if the game was also a bit more challenging to add a compelling scavenging element. I know there are a few games in this genre already, but I’m curious: what are your favorites? I’m especially interested in games where driving and interacting with the vehicle (doesn’t have to be a car) is central to the gameplay.

For a road trip vibe but with a strong narrative focus, maybe try Road96. It’s more about the story, so it might not have all the driving interactivity you’re after, but it captures a similar feeling of adventure and travel. Keep in mind though, it’s different from a pure driving experience.
You should definitely try Sailwind! It’s not a road trip game, but it captures the adventure with exploration and navigation that you might love. It’s all about the journey and could be a good alternative if you’re interested in different modes of travel.
You might want to check out Pacific Drive. While it’s not exactly the same as The Long Drive, it has some similarities that you might enjoy. It’s more about exploration and mystery, but it could still scratch that itch you’re describing. Just approach it with an open mind—it’s more about the journey than just cruising around.
