Hey everyone! I’m really curious if anyone else is dealing with a situation like mine in Rocket League. I’ve been trapped in Silver for about two years now, both in 2v2 and 3v3 ranked matches. I consider myself a team player; I always defend and keep an eye on my teammates to make the best decisions during games. Unfortunately, I keep hitting the same problems: my matches often start with not enough players, then I get teammates who either lag out or don’t play strategically. It feels like I’m giving 110% but I’m stuck in a never-ending cycle of being promoted and relegated without making any real progress. As a father with a full-time job, I want to break out of this rut and rank up! Is anyone else experiencing this?

Don’t overthink it! In Silver, just focus on chasing the ball and taking shots. Everyone’s kind of on the same level, so if you just play solidly without stressing too much about perfection, you’ll naturally improve and start winning more.
Have you considered giving 1v1 matches a shot? It could really help you focus on your own skills since you’d be solely responsible for your gameplay. Try spending about 15 minutes in free play before hopping into some 1v1s, and then you can transition into your 2s or 3s. It might also help to learn a new mechanic or two—just something simple for starters! Good luck out there!
Honestly, it sounds like you’re not playing enough to see any significant improvement. All those challenges you mentioned are pretty common in competitive gaming. Watching some tutorial videos on the basics could really uplift your game.
I totally agree with this point. I was pretty consistent in my ranks but took a break and now I’m stuck at a lower level because I can’t play as often. Plus, I’ve been experiencing crazy matchmaking, facing party teams even in gold! Definitely a weird season.
Definitely! It’s all about the basics. Just getting in there and playing can make all the difference.
