I’m really struggling to climb out of Iron 4 in EUW and could use some serious advice. I’ve got a winrate of only 39%, with 14 wins and 22 losses in Ranked. Regardless of the role I play, I end up with terribly toxic teammates who lack skill. I’ve even considered transferring my account to a different server because of how frustrating the EUW community is.
I mainly play support, but it’s not enjoyable since my supports often don’t understand basic mechanics like warding. I’ve had games where I had a higher vision score than the actual support! I know the meta supports are popular, but even when I try off-meta champs like Malzahar and Quinn, it feels like I just keep getting unlucky. For jungling, I get flamed for not ganking fed opponents, but if I do, I’m told it’s my fault if things go wrong. It feels like there’s no way to win!
I’ve put effort into improving myself with resources like SkillCapped, but it hasn’t paid off. There’s so much trolling in my games, like one game where a Lee Sin had 19 deaths. Is this a server issue? Does Losers Queue exist? Should I just give up on this toxic game?

It’s tough, but you might want to mute all and try to keep your head up. Often, the toxicity comes from the enemy team more than your own four teammates. Just focus on your game and try to have fun while climbing. Remember, you can even turn off the chat completely if it gets too much!
Yeah, I’ve turned chat off too! Makes a huge difference.
Consider picking champions that can carry harder roles, like ADC or mid. Playing support can be challenging in low elo. You could have a bigger impact in roles where you’re more independent. Just keep playing and don’t get discouraged by your teammates’ mistakes. It’s all about learning and adjusting your approach!
I tried that, but my luck is just awful no matter the role!
True! Playing a high-impact role can often make a big difference.
It’s not what you want to hear, but improving your overall gameplay is key. Focus on your macro, micro, and game knowledge. Those skills are essential for climbing. If you’re stuck in Iron, it usually means you need to work on those areas. Staying positive is also important; yes, some games are unwinnable, but you can still carry in others if you keep your cool!
Exactly! It’s hard not to tilt, but you gotta pick one area to work on at a time.
Glad you said that—keeping mental and staying positive is so crucial!
Totally agree, muting really helps! Just focus on your gameplay.
