I’ve been dealing with the frustrating “failed to join game lobby” bug for a while now. Every few weeks, I can’t join games or have anyone join my lobby. Despite following all the online guides, nothing seems to work. I’ve tried disabling crossplay, turning off IPV6, verifying the game files in Steam, disabling cloud sync, restarting my computer, and even uninstalling and reinstalling HD2. Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue?

I feel you on this! I’ve been stuck with this bug for a whole year and tried every fix multiple times. It’s so annoying, especially since every other multiplayer game works perfectly for me. I just wish I could enjoy HD2 like I used to.
You might want to try changing your Steam networking region. I remember back when HD2 first launched, my friends and I had to switch regions because of some pretty terrible disconnects. You could check your Steam settings to see if that option is available for you now.
If nothing else works, it could be your router blocking the ports that HD2 needs. Double-check your router settings to see if it’s restricting any traffic. It’s strange that it happens only some days, but it’s worth a look!
Yeah, I don’t get how it could be blocking it just a couple of days a month. It seems really random for sure!
