Hey everyone! I’m using an Asus TUF Dash gaming laptop and I’ve noticed some performance issues that I’m hoping to get your insights on. My specs are:
– GTX 3060
– Intel i7 11th Gen
– 16GB RAM
However, I’m only getting around 30 FPS in GTA and about 70 FPS in CS2, which seems pretty low for my setup. I’m aware that these laptops can have less-than-ideal cooling, but I’ve already downloaded G Helper and adjusted the fan settings to prevent throttling. What else can I try to boost my gaming performance? Any suggestions would be super helpful!

Make sure your laptop is plugged in to a power source while gaming. Also, update your Nvidia drivers and check these settings in the Nvidia Control Panel:
1. Disable Nvidia Battery Boost.
2. Set Power management mode to ‘Prefer maximum performance’.
And in G Helper, avoid using Eco mode.
First off, you wanna check what temperatures your GPU and CPU are hitting while gaming. High temperatures can throttle performance significantly. So, keep an eye out on that!
I usually average around 60°C, so I’m not sure if that’s too high.
I’ve gone through those steps before, but haven’t seen any improvement. Do you think it might be a hardware issue, or is there a diagnostic check I could run?
