I’ve been having major issues connecting to multiplayer in FromSoftware games lately, like Elden Ring and Armored Core 6. Whenever I try to put down a summon sign, it shows that the player is joining, but it just hangs and eventually disconnects. This is also happening with Nightreign. It’s really weird because my brother plays on the same internet connection using a Series X and has no problems at all. When I switch to my phone’s hotspot, I can connect to players without issues. It’s frustrating—I feel like it has to be a problem with my Xbox since my brother is fine. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be going wrong?

Honestly, I think it might be your ISP rather than your NAT settings. Phone hotspots usually have worse NAT, yet they work for you—which could suggest your broadband IP is blocked by FromSoftware’s servers. You might want to reach out to your ISP to see if they can help you out.
You can explain that you’re having issues specifically with connecting to multiplayer in certain games while your brother is fine. They might need to check if there’s a block or issue with your account.
That makes sense! Any tips on how to approach my ISP about this? My brother can play fine, so it’s a bit confusing on what to say.
