Struggling to Choose My Main Class – Need Your Advice!

-

Hey everyone! I’m in a bit of a pickle trying to decide on a main class for my game. I keep hopping between four classes and really want to settle on just one. Here are my contenders: Prot Warrior, Blood DK, Brewmaster, and Rogue. With work and being a father of three, my gaming time is limited, so I want to find a class that’s fun and engaging for the few hours I can spare. I’ve posted about this before, and I’m looking for genuine advice this time. Please help me out!

Honestly, I’d go for Blood DK. I’ve tried all of those classes, and Blood has consistently been better in more situations. Plus, it shares gear with Unholy, which is great for an off-spec! Rogue can be super fun too, but right now it seems a bit lackluster compared to the others.

From the classes you’re considering, I’d suggest going for either Prot Warrior or Blood DK. Prot has great mobility and AoE damage with solid defenses, while Blood DK excels at single-target damage and can really shine if you know what you’re doing. Just keep in mind that Blood DKs are a bit slower. Overall, both options have their upsides depending on your play style.

Been playing off and on since 2006, and I still don’t have a solid main either! I keep returning to my Rogue, but I’ve dabbled in Hunter and DK as well. Blood DK has given me some of the best experiences. For flexibility, you might consider Paladin or Brewmaster since they can tank, DPS, and heal. But as an altaholic myself, I definitely don’t mind having a character for each spec! 😂

Considering your time constraints, I recommend Blood DK. Once you get comfortable with the rotation, you’ll find yourself pretty much immortal thanks to abilities like Blood Boil for threat and Death and Decay for damage. Plus, Blood DKs have that handy Death Grip ability that really helps with pulls. Also, if you go Goblin for the racial Rocket Jump, it adds even more mobility to your gameplay. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! I’m leaning more towards Blood DK now. Sounds like it could work well for my limited playtime!

What kind of content do you enjoy the most? Are you more into world quests, dungeons, or raids? Also, how many hours can you fit in a week? With a one-button rotation coming soon, that might influence your choice too.
