Hey everyone! I recently got a Steam Deck OLED, and while it worked fine for the first week, I’m now facing issues with it connecting to Wi-Fi. I’ve tried connecting to a 2.4 GHz network and even my phone’s hotspot. Initially, it connected, but now it won’t connect at all. On top of that, when it tries to connect automatically, it freezes up and becomes unresponsive to most commands except for the touch controls. I’m really hoping someone can help me out here!

Have you tried resetting your Steam Deck? It can often solve connection issues! Just a thought.
Did you buy it directly from Steam? Sometimes the store can provide specific support based on your purchase. Just curious!
I’ve been facing the same problem after the latest update. A workaround that worked for me was to go into developer mode and enable “Force WPA Supplicant Wi-Fi backend.” It seems like a software bug rather than hardware issues. If that doesn’t help, contacting Valve might be the way to go.
I had a similar issue! I managed to fix it by temporarily connecting an ethernet cable. After that, my Wi-Fi came back online. If that doesn’t work for you, it might be a good idea to check for viruses or malware or consider resetting the device. Since it’s only been a week, returning it for a new one might be an option too. Good luck!
Yeah, I noticed my internet speeds are still okay, but it takes a bit longer to reconnect after sleep mode. Pretty annoying!
