I recently ran into a frustrating issue with my Steam account after purchasing a set of games during the spring sale using PayPal. Three days ago, I tried to buy a Steam Deck with the same PayPal account, but Steam banned my account. They claim that my address doesn’t match my billing address, even though both my PayPal and my card have the correct and identical billing and shipping addresses. I’ve been unable to call anyone for support, and the chat response has been super slow with unclear messages about how to resolve this. If anyone has gone through a similar situation, I’d love to know how long it took you to get it fixed!

I’d recommend avoiding PayPal for big purchases if you can. I’ve seen quite a few people get hit with this kind of issue—just a hassle with how they handle addresses. It’s annoying, but hopefully, it gets sorted out soon for you!
Man, that sounds really frustrating! I’ve heard that similar bans can sometimes take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to resolve, depending on how backed up their support team is. Definitely don’t lose hope—keep checking your support ticket. Maybe consider reaching out on social media too; sometimes they respond faster there! Good luck!
Yeah, I did that once and it seemed to push my ticket to the top. Worth a shot!
I use PayPal regularly, and it usually goes fine, but every now and then they do seem to have issues like this. Just gotta be careful!
