I’ve been thinking about how once we outgrow certain crests, like runed crests, they shouldn’t be capped anymore. For instance, if I no longer need runed crests, I believe I should still be able to farm them if I want to, or at least still gain them naturally. It takes 45 runed crests to turn them into 15 gilded crests, so having them capped feels a bit limiting. I think outgrowing their use and then allowing them to go uncapped early would make the game more enjoyable.

I think they should just make it war bound before considering uncapping anything else. We really need to decide if we want better trading options or un-capped crests.
I get your point, but what would you actually use the runed crests for after hitting that cap? Trading 45 for 15 gilded ones still counts against your gilded cap, so even if the runed are uncapped, you’re probably still going to hit a wall with the gilded ones soon enough. Maybe keeping the gilded cap but un-capping the lower ones could be a balance?
It would definitely help me out since I’m at the runed cap but still only halfway to the gilded cap.
But how would they keep the player engagement up during the turbo event if everyone has thousands of gilded crests? It seems this is more about keeping players grinding rather than making it fun.
The issue with removing caps on crests is that if you’ve outgrown them, you could end up with an unlimited supply of the highest crests without needing to engage with the actual content that drops them. What’s the balance there?
I’m not seeing what the problem is with that.
Honestly, it doesn’t matter if the lower ones are uncapped because you still need to trade them for higher crests, and if those are capped, then what’s the use? We’re already midway through the season, so I think caps need to be reviewed.
You could just trade them up for the better crests like we currently do, but it could be made better if the caps were adjusted.
