A lot of debate surrounds whether people who modify their Nintendo Switch consoles should be allowed to connect to Nintendo’s online services. Nintendo’s terms of service are pretty strict about this, noting that using a modded device can lead to being banned or even having your console rendered unusable. Given this context, what are your thoughts? Should modders be allowed online, or is it too risky?

I don’t think people should connect their modded consoles online. It’s a huge risk for everyone if there are cheaters around. Plus, if you play on PS5 or Xbox, getting banned means your console basically can’t be used anymore. It’s kind of the same deal with Nintendo; no one wants a bunch of hackers ruining the fun.
In my opinion, if you mod your Switch, you should be smart enough not to go online with it. It’s just an invitation for chaos, especially in games like Mario Kart where unlimited items could ruin the experience for everyone. Just play offline with your mods.
Right? It’s all about keeping the game fair. Let people hack their consoles, but keep them offline!
