Hey everyone! I’m currently working on Let’s Go Meltan and I’m at 7/9. I’ve just completed a week of field research and got myself an Aerodactyl, which I know is crucial for the next part of the quest (8/9). I’ve heard that Aerodactyl is pretty hard to come by for a lot of players, and I really want to save it for when I might really need it. However, I’m also worried about missing out on those valuable field research breakthroughs since I haven’t finished anything for 7/9 yet. Should I go ahead and catch the Aerodactyl now or hold onto it for later? What do you all think?

You can still get Aerodactyl from research breakthroughs now, but it’s about a 1 in 5 or 1 in 6 chance. Since it’s staying in the rotation for another 11 weeks, it’s a bit of a gamble if you want to use your current catch.
You might want to spin for the “win 5 raids” quest since it also gives a chance to encounter Aerodactyl. That one’s always available and might help you get it more consistently.
Honestly, I understand the concern about the breakthroughs, but if it’s going to take a long time to finish 7/9, it might be worth it to use the Aerodactyl now. Just weigh your options—if you think waiting will just make it drag out, go for it!
