Hey everyone! I’m working on a new build and I’ve got a Corsair 1000E PSU. The GPU instructions say to connect three 6×2 8-pin connectors to the provided adapter. But, I’m wondering if I can just use the native power cord from my PSU directly to the GPU instead. If that’s a safe option, I’d really prefer it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m not super knowledgeable about this!

Yeah, running the native 12v2x6 cable from your PSU to the GPU is the way to go if you have it. It’s more efficient and cleaner than using multiple PCIe cables and adapters.
If your PSU has a native 12vHPWR cable, definitely use it! It’s designed for this kind of connection. If not, then the 3-way splitter is your go-to. Just make sure all cables are seated properly!
Using the native power cable is a solid choice. It avoids all the hassle of adapters and should provide better power delivery! Good luck with the build!
Thanks a ton, everyone!!! I feel way more confident about my setup now!
You should use the native cable if you have it. The 3c8-pin adapter is really just for older power supplies that don’t have that native connection. It’ll work much better!
