Hey everyone! I’ve been a PlayStation fan for years, getting my PS3 and PS4 on launch day. However, I fell out of gaming during COVID and didn’t pay much attention to the PS5 when it came out, especially given the stock issues. Now, I’m eager to get back into gaming after 5 years and I’ve been pondering whether I should stick with my PS4 or finally get a PS5. I love open-world and action-adventure games like Uncharted, Assassin’s Creed, Spider-Man, and God of War. Initially, I was holding out for new releases like the Elder Scrolls or the Wolverine game, but those seem far off. So, should I wait for a PS6 (likely in the next 2-3 years) or go ahead and get the PS5? If I choose the PS5, which exclusive games would you recommend to get me excited about the upgrade?

I totally get it! I waited years too for the PS5 and regretted it a bit. If you can grab a PS5 at a decent price (450 euros is a current good deal in some places), go for it! I’d recommend games like Spider-Man 2, Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart, and God of War Ragnarok. They’re fantastic experiences on the new console!
If you’re leaning towards a PS5, just wait a bit for the Days of Play sale that’s coming up. You might score a nice deal and there are plenty of cool games that could make it worth your while! But if you’re okay with the PS4, just enjoy it till you really feel the need to upgrade.
Honestly, the PS5 is a great choice, especially with the upcoming sales. The tech gap between the PS5 and a potential PS6 might not be as big as what we saw from PS4 to PS5. You might want to grab one this Black Friday! Plus, some amazing games like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Spider-Man 2 are exclusive to the PS5 that are totally worth it.
