I’m looking to upgrade my GTX 3060 12GB to something more powerful, ideally for gaming at ultrawide 1440p. I’ve done some research, but most comparisons either ignore ultrawide resolutions or only discuss raw specs without showing real-world performance differences. In my region, the 5070 Ti is about $50 more than the 4070 Super, so I’m wondering if it’s worth it. My setup includes a Ryzen 7 5800X, and I primarily play games that don’t support the latest DLSS features. Plus, my motherboard only supports PCIe 3.0, which might affect performance slightly. Any insights would be appreciated!

If the price difference is just $50, I’d say go for the 5070 Ti. It comes with more VRAM, which can be quite beneficial for gaming, especially at higher resolutions.
In general, both cards will perform similarly with your Ryzen 7 5800X, except in really GPU-heavy games. Depending on what you play, you might see some differences, but not huge ones overall.
Currently, everything seems to be extremely GPU demanding because of the resolution, even when the Ryzen should be under more strain than the 3060.
I see, thank you!
