Hey everyone! I’m looking for some guidance on upgrading my PC. Right now, my specs are a 1080 Ti, an i5 7600K, and 16GB of RAM. I’m considering upgrading to a 9600X CPU, which would require new RAM, a motherboard, a cooler, and possibly a new PSU. This upgrade could cost around £400. Alternatively, should I just upgrade my GPU? What do you all think? Any advice or alternatives?

You should think about the games you’re playing and whether your 1080 Ti meets your expectations. If you’re getting into esports, an X3D CPU could give you a nice boost. Upgrading your CPU first might be the way to go since your current card could bottleneck with a high-end GPU.

I’m not really into 4K; I enjoy 144Hz at 1440p. I’m getting back into RPGs like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk. Often, my 1080 Ti gives about 60 FPS on medium settings, but I’ve noticed it struggling with new titles lately.
