I’ve been a loyal PS4 gamer for a long time, and even though it still runs like a charm, I’m starting to feel the pinch of not being able to play some newer games. I never really thought about upgrading before, but with so many new titles coming out, I’m on the fence. Is it actually worth shelling out for a PS5 just for the games? I mean, I know there are some sweet exclusives, but I’m hesitant since I’ve always been attached to my PS4, and I don’t want to invest in a console I might not need. Right now, I’m considering games like Spider-Man 2, Helldivers 2, Marvel Rivals, and the new R6 Siege. What do you all think?

I think you should consider how often you’re actually playing. If you’re gaming every day, the upgrade could be a solid investment. Plus, Sony is already moving away from PS4 titles, so you might end up missing out if you stick with your old console for much longer!
Honestly, a lot of the hot new releases are PS5 exclusives now, and while you can still play some on PS4, you’re going to be missing out on the best of the best. If you can snag a PS5, I’d say go for it! Think of it as future-proofing your gaming experience.
Absolutely, upgrading to the PS5 is worth it, especially if you’re into gaming frequently. There are loads of exclusive titles now, and the performance boost is massive. Loading times are practically zero on PS5, and you won’t want to go back to the PS4 after experiencing it. Everyone is talking about how clean the PS5 runs – you’ll definitely feel the difference!
I’ve heard similar things! I can’t believe I waited so long when the performance is so much better!
It’s got to be at least 5-10 games that pull you in for the upgrade. If you’re a regular player, then definitely go for it, especially with the future titles lined up. I switched last year from PS4, and it’s been a game changer.
If you don’t have a gaming PC, jump on the PS5. Titles like Cyberpunk and new indie games look phenomenal on it. But, if you’re solely relying on PS exclusives, it’s a mixed bag. Xbox has been stepping it up on that front lately!
Yeah, I play quite a bit, so it sounds like going PS5 could really enhance my experience.
