I’m in a bit of a dilemma and could really use some advice. I’m considering swapping my XFX 7900XT for a Gigabyte Aero 4070Ti Super. The catch is, I’ll need to pay about 190-200 Rand to make this switch. Lately, I’ve been feeling frustrated with AMD due to issues like the poor quality of FSR and the fact that FSR4 is locked to RDNA4. I primarily game at 3440x1440p on ultra-wide, focusing mostly on single-player titles like Cyberpunk. Is this upgrade worth it?

If features like DLSS and ray tracing are important to you, then it could be a good move. Just keep in mind, it might feel more like a side grade, or even a downgrade in some scenarios. Be sure to check out comparison videos for games you enjoy to see if the cost makes sense for what you’re after.
Whether it’s worth it really depends on your priorities. Since you game at a higher resolution, DLSS tends to shine there, which might make the 4070Ti Super an appealing choice for you.
Honestly, don’t expect a huge performance jump. If your main goal is to access those NVIDIA features without a significant drop in VRAM, then it might make the decision easier. Just double-check so you don’t end up regretting the trade!
