I accidentally bought the RX 9070 instead of the XT and I’m wondering if I should hold off and save up for the XT, or if I can overclock my 9070 to match the performance of the XT. There’s about a $115 price difference between the two, and I have the Gigabyte Gaming OC version for both. What do you all think?

The XT does outperform the standard 9070, but it also consumes significantly more power and is pricier. So it comes down to whether you need that extra speed or if you’d prefer a more energy-efficient setup with some savings.
Overclocking your RX 9070 won’t really cover the performance gap to the XT. If possible, try to return it or sell it to afford the upgrade to the 9070 XT. It’s worth the extra cash if you’re aiming for better performance.
I’ve seen benchmarks showing the XT can get up to 30fps more. Plus, with some undervolting, it typically runs at around 230 watts, so if you need that performance, the XT might be the better choice!
