As a longtime PC gamer with over 5 years on Gamepass, I usually turn to Steam whenever I can’t find a game on Gamepass. Recently, I’ve been contemplating going all-in on Xbox instead. With the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, it seems appealing to buy games on Xbox, play them on my PC, or even stream them to my TV or phone. I enjoy single-player games and would love the flexibility to game from anywhere, rather than being glued to my desk. Is it crazy to think Xbox could be my main platform for PC gaming?

Honestly, buy where you feel comfortable. The Xbox ecosystem is competing directly with Steam now. Both platforms have their pros and cons. Just go with what suits your gaming habits!
Honestly, if I see a Play Anywhere title priced the same on Xbox, I definitely go for it. The flexibility is amazing! I can play on my Xbox Series X, ROG Ally, or even my gaming PC. I’ve rebought some titles for that convenience, like Persona 5 Royal after selling my physical copy. It’s worth it!
When Play Anywhere launched, I started buying games from the Xbox Store that featured it. My first was either Resident Evil 7 or Recore. It just makes sense, you know?
Play Anywhere is definitely valuable since you get both console and PC access with your purchase. But just remember, some games still don’t allow full modding on the Xbox app like you can on Steam!
Exactly, that’s why I still keep Steam around!
True, it’s really limiting in terms of mods on Xbox. Steam Workshop is a whole different level.
