I’m trying to decide if I should restart my game and build a new character as a ghoul, or if I should just continue playing with my existing character. I’ve learned a lot since I started, so I feel like I could play better now. Do you think the experience of restarting is worth it?

Honestly, I’d say give a new character a shot! The early levels are really enjoyable, and you get to experience that struggle again. Plus, leveling up to 50 is pretty quick these days. And don’t forget, you can create multiple characters at once, so why not have both?
Definitely make a new character and go for a ghoul build. Just keep your main character as is. You’d be giving up a lot by restarting your main, and trust me, having different characters is awesome. I’ve got five with various builds and weapons!
I recommend starting anew to see if you like being a ghoul. They’re my favorite part of Fallout, and the ghoul system is super fun. Plus, if you switch to ghoul on an old character, you’ve already done all the quests, so you won’t have to wear that disguise too often.
I was worried about regretting turning into a ghoul, but honestly, no regrets! It’s been great. But keep in mind, I’ve finished all the story content, so I don’t have to keep wearing a disguise. If I did, I might feel differently.
I recently made the switch to a ghoul, and I see them as more of an end-game thing now. They can be a hassle to play with in older content, especially since you have to wear a disguise often, which can be annoying. But, future updates might improve that for ghouls.
Just so you know, you can’t become a ghoul until you hit level 50. So, think about whether you want to restart or just use a character that’s already leveled up.
Haha, I’m the opposite! I love being maxed out and just trying different builds. Now that ghouls are in the game, I’m zooming around as a speedster—it’s a blast!
