Hey everyone! I’m currently playing Resident Evil 7, and it’s been a wild ride. I found it super scary right from the start, and I’m feeling conflicted. I love the Resident Evil series—dipped my toes into RE4 and the RE2 remaster, but I had to pause those for life reasons. Now, I’m wondering if I should just stop playing RE7 since I feel scared, or if I should push through and continue. What do you all think?

If the fear is too much, consider watching a playthrough first. It might help ease the tension, and if you enjoy it, you might feel ready to take on the game yourself later!
Honestly, if you’re not feeling it, there’s no pressure to keep playing. Sometimes people just overthink these things. If the scare factor is making you uneasy, just take a break or move on to something more fun!
Definitely keep playing! It gets less scary once you start getting weapons and learning enemy patterns. Just be prepared for the Marguerite battle—it’s intense! But the game is a masterpiece, so it’ll be worth it in the end.
I think you should push through! Life gets busy, and sometimes it’s tough to squeeze in gaming. I’m currently on vacation and just finished RE2, moving on to RE4 now. RE7 is a bit scarier, but I always use walkthroughs to keep me from getting too scared and missing anything important. It’s totally okay to play that way and still enjoy the game!
Why rely on random folks for a decision like this? It’s all about what YOU want! Although, if you just wanted feedback, that’s cool too. Don’t sweat it too much!
