I just picked up both Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 and 2, along with their season passes, and this is my first time playing them! I’m curious if I need to play the first one before diving into the second, or if it’s okay to start with the second game. What’s the best way to approach this?

Going straight to KCD2 is doable, but if you want the full experience, play the first game first. You’ll immerse yourself in the story and world, which makes the sequel that much more rewarding!
While it’s not required, playing the first game enriches the experience. You grasp the emotional weight of the second game better if you know what went down in the first one. Just take your time with it; the journey is worth it!
It’s not absolutely necessary to play the first one, but it makes understanding the story a lot easier and helps you learn some of the mechanics. If you have time, I’d recommend giving it a shot, but if you’re in a rush, you could jump into the second one.
I started with the second game and loved it! The plot does recap some critical points from the first, but you’ll get more out of the narrative if you start from the beginning. Plus, KCD1 is beautifully crafted!
Definitely play the first game! The story flows into the second one, and it really adds depth to the characters and their motivations. You’ll appreciate the sequel much more if you experience the first chapter first.
