Hey everyone! I’m trying to decide what to play next and would love your input. I just finished binge-playing Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3, and I recently picked up Bloodborne GOTY and Elden Ring (Shadow of the Erdtree edition). I loved Elden Ring when I played it before, but I never touched the DLC. The twist is, I haven’t played Bloodborne at all.
Here’s the catch: I’ve been following a specific order with my games because of a bit of OCD. I find it hard to jump around timelines or series. So, I’ve been thinking about playing Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3 first, then Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and finally finishing with Elden Ring since I can really dive into it. However, my budget doesn’t allow me to grab Demon’s Souls and Sekiro right now.
Considering my OCD, would it feel ‘wrong’ to dive into Bloodborne before Elden Ring? Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly, there’s no connection between Elden Ring and the Dark Souls games, so you’re free to choose either one. Bloodborne is its own separate experience, and since it came out before Elden Ring, you won’t miss out on any connections by playing it first. You could even wait for a PS5 remake of Bloodborne if you’re interested!
Thanks for the insight! I think I will go with Bloodborne now.
