I’m a bit clueless about my PC and haven’t upgraded anything since I bought it pre-built. I’ve been happy with my 16GB RAM and 3060ti for gaming, but with Oblivion Remastered out now, I’m wondering if I should upgrade my RAM. Is it something I can easily install myself without messing things up, or should I just take it to a shop?

A lot of players say 32GB is the sweet spot now, especially for newer games, so that could be a solid upgrade. But if you already have 32GB, there might be other performance issues at play. Maybe check your CPU too!
Before you upgrade, are you sure RAM is what you need? Sometimes it could be other components that are holding back performance. But if you’re set on RAM, just pop it into the motherboard slots after opening the latches. You’ll have it done faster than you think!
It’s super easy, just make sure your new RAM is compatible with your motherboard. A quick Youtube search on RAM installation will have you sorted in no time. You don’t need to pay someone to do this for you!
Installing RAM is actually really straightforward, it’s one of the easiest upgrades you can do. Just remember to get a matching RAM stick and ideally stick to a 2-stick kit for dual-channel performance. Mixing RAM from different kits is usually not recommended unless specified. If you have 4 slots, use slots 2 and 4 unless your motherboard suggests otherwise.
Got it! Thanks for the tip!
Honestly, it’s so simple you might not even need help. Just remember to buy a matched pair if you’re getting new RAM, and don’t worry, you won’t ruin anything. Worst-case scenario, you just buy the wrong type!
Lol, I totally blanked on my specs—I actually have 32GB already! Guess I’m good to go for Oblivion after all!
I thought it was RAM because the 3060ti is good for gaming, but maybe I also need to look at my processor!
