I’m trying to decide whether I should buy a 5080 right now or wait for the 5070 Ti to release. With the recent news about Trump imposing tariffs on TSMC, I’m concerned that prices could skyrocket soon. I’m not based in the U.S. but I have a chance to get a 5080 at nearly MSRP. What do you think?

Just curious, if you’re not in the U.S., why’d you bring up Trump and tariffs? Seems a little out of place.
I was in the same predicament, but I ended up with a 5080. Yeah, the 5070 Ti seems like it could be better value, but having the hardware now feels safer if prices go up. Plus, consider how long you’ll likely have it—better to invest in something solid rather than potentially missing out with uncertainty.

If you can get the 5080 at a good price, I wouldn’t wait any longer. You’ve got the opportunity, and it might be harder to find later.
Honestly, the 5080 is hard to find, so if you see it, you should definitely go for it! It’s been pretty much sold out everywhere for a while now.
How do you all manage to grab these cards? They seem to fly off the shelves.
Exactly! I snagged a 5080 too, thinking that if tariffs change everything, I might regret waiting for the 4070 Ti. Seems wise to secure the power now!
