Should I go with the Original or Enhanced Version of GTA V on my Steam Deck?

I need some advice on which version of GTA V works best on the Steam Deck. I got the Enhanced version for free since I already owned the original, but when I uninstalled the original, my save didn’t transfer to the new one, so I lost my progress. Should I reinstall the original version or stick with the Enhanced one?

Just a heads up, the Enhanced version is treated as a completely separate game, so your saves from the original won’t carry over. That’s why you lost your progress. Also, you might notice it doesn’t have the benchmark tool either, which is a bit odd.

I’m pretty sure your saves can transfer. If you check the game menus, there should be an option for it.

I figured this out recently! You need to start the story mode in the Legacy Edition. Pause the game, go to ‘Game’ and select ‘upload save’. Once that’s done, boot up the Enhanced edition, and it will prompt you to load your save file. Just make sure to do that and you’ll have your progress back!
