I’m wondering if I really need both versions of the game, Black 2 and White 2. I’ve heard that there’s not much difference between them aside from exclusive Pokémon, legendaries, and minor map variations. Some people say that both games have unique stories, but I’m getting confused because they are sequels to the original Black and White games. Do I actually need both versions to complete the Pokédex? I already own Diamond, Black, Black 2, and HeartGold, and I’m looking to buy Platinum but the prices are pretty high right now.

To clarify, there aren’t significantly different stories between Black 2 and White 2 like there are in the original Black and White games. The main differences are really just Pokémon encounters and some different visual elements. But yes, to fully complete your Pokédex, you’ll need both versions due to their exclusive Pokémon. I’d recommend trading online to get what you need.
With the games you have, you can get quite far in the Pokédex, but to achieve 100% completion purely through personal gameplay and trading, you will need both versions. Brace yourself for some serious wallet damage!
Haha, yeah, my wallet’s about to cry! Thanks for the input!
For completing the Pokédex, you definitely need both Black 2 and White 2. Tornadus and Thundurus are only available in the original Black and White games, so you’d miss out on those unless you can trade from those titles. The rest can get pretty tricky, so keep that in mind!
Oh, so I really do need both? Guess I’m gonna have to buy them! Thanks for the heads up!
