Should I Disable x3D Mode on My 7800X3D?

-

I’m curious if I should switch off x3D mode on my 7800X3D. My benchmarks are really underwhelming, and a friend mentioned that it disables hyperthreading, which they say is crucial for performance. Any insights would be super helpful!

Are you referring to the x3D Turbo mode? There’s some confusion around it because of different settings in BIOS and stuff.

GamerDude42 -

Nah, it’s labeled as x3D Gaming Mode on MSI boards. I noticed in my 3D Mark tests that it shows hyperthreading as disabled.

Honestly, ditch that advice from your friend! Disabling x3D mode would seriously tank your FPS—it’s one of the main features that makes the 7800X3D so powerful. You could lose up to 40% performance if you do it!
