I’m trying to decide whether to play Elder Scrolls Online on my PS5 or my PC. I have a 77″ 4K TV hooked up, and on the PC side, I have an RTX 2060 with a Full HD monitor. I also own a Legion Go Handheld for remote play. How’s the player population on PS5 compared to PC? Also curious about things like add-ons, gameplay smoothness, and overall experience on both platforms.

It really depends on your setup and preferences. I prefer playing with a controller due to hand tremors, and with the PS5 Pro, the performance is excellent, so I play mostly on console with zero complaints. If you value higher FPS and add-ons, PC is better, but PS5 still offers a great experience with good population.
If you’re thinking about the long-term experience, PC is definitely the way to go. The player base is larger, the game tends to run smoother, and the add-ons available on PC really enhance gameplay. Plus, you can push higher frame rates which makes combat feel better.
Honestly, I stick mostly to PS5 nowadays. The population is solid, the game runs great, and you don’t necessarily need add-ons to enjoy it. Sure, a mini map add-on helps, but if you’re new or just casual, the vanilla experience on console is fine. Also, using a wireless USB keyboard on PS5 helps with chat if that’s a concern.
I’ve switched to PC a while back and haven’t looked back since. The community is active, and having access to mods and add-ons really improves the quality of life. It’s a bigger ecosystem and feels more flexible overall.
Even if you think you don’t care about add-ons now, once you dive deeper, you might find some really handy ones that make gameplay smoother. But if your PC isn’t a beast, PS5 could be just fine. Bottom line: PC has more players, smoother runs, and higher frame rates, but PS5 offers convenience and solid population.
