I’m trying to decide between two different builds for my St. Vincent battleship. There’s the survival build using BoS and Fire Prevention, which seems safer, and then there’s the damage-focused build with Furious and Super-Heavy AP. Since I’m still quite new to BB gameplay—this being only my fourth high-tier BB—I’d love some insights from more experienced players. I tend to play closer to enemies, usually within 10km of my friendly destroyer, and I like to use a mix of HE and AP. What’s your recommendation?

Furious can definitely work if you know how to manage your heal and DCP. But if you’re looking for a safer playstyle, I’d stick with the survival build.
Furious does its job on Vincent, but the real challenge is managing the healing while also focusing on eliminating enemies effectively.
I recommend starting with the standard build. Once you feel more comfortable, you can experiment with the riskier Furious setup later on.
I’ve tried both builds on Conq and found that the standard BB build is still superior overall. My damage output stayed the same, but I really noticed a lower win rate with the Furious build after testing it over many battles.
I personally think Furious is a great choice for St. Vincent. The super heal is super effective for handling fire damage, and honestly, I don’t mind taking a fire or two here and there. Just make sure to save your Damage Control Party for floods or critical hits.
