Hey folks, I’ve been diving into this game and having a blast since I started a couple of days ago. I’m currently at level 25 and just got a cool mount, but it has a timer unless I fork out for an expansion. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me too much since I’m enjoying the free version and want to see if I want to keep playing.
Here’s my dilemma: if I reach the end game and decide to purchase content, should I buy the expansions one at a time or just drop the $150 for everything at once? That’s a hefty price tag upfront! I really appreciate that there’s no monthly subscription, though. Should I wait for sales? I just missed one in March, so I’m wondering when the next one might be. Any thoughts or advice?

Also, the Elder Dragon Saga complete edition covers everything except the latest expansions and usually goes on sale for about $50. You could get the expansion before the current one, too, for around $20 when it’s on sale. I’d suggest grabbing Janthir now for the extra features, and then waiting for sales on the bigger bundles.
I’d recommend getting the Heart of Thorns/Path of Fire bundle first. You’re gonna want those gliders, elite specs, and mounts! After that, just keep an eye on sales for the other expansions. They tend to pop up now and then.
Just adding to that, if you’re following the story, don’t forget to grab Season 2 for about $20 in gems, which you’ll need before HoT. Season 3 comes in after HoT and is around $15 in gems too. But if you’re more into the gameplay features and not so much the story, HoT and PoF are definitely worth it for quality of life!
Just so you know, the complete pack with all the seasons is only available if you haven’t got any expansions yet. Once you buy one, you’ll need to purchase the seasons with gems earned in-game. Keep that in mind!
