I’ve been playing on my PS4 Slim and have enjoyed great titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Uncharted 4, and GTA V. However, I’m not convinced that the PS5 has enough standout games right now to justify the purchase. Would it be better to wait until something like GTA VI comes out? What are your thoughts?

Haha, sounds like you kinda answered your own question! The PS5’s controller is a game changer compared to the PS4 for me. I believe it has better games now than my PS4 did at launch, even if they aren’t all exclusive.
If you think you don’t need it now, just hold off. I got my PS5 and I like it, but I’m not blown away or anything. Take your time!
Unless you’re really struggling with games on your PS4, it might be better to stick with it. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
Honestly, if you’re not feeling the urge because of the game lineup, waiting might be the best move. I snagged a PS5 at launch and I’ve never looked back. Sure, there aren’t a ton of exclusive PS5 games yet, but I’ve still found it to be worth it overall.
The PS5 might not have a ton of ‘great games’ just yet, but many PS4 titles have upgrades available. I’ve been really enjoying games like God of War Ragnarök and Gran Turismo 7. If you’re leaning toward getting one, I’d suggest waiting until the end of 2025 for better prices though.
