Seeking Recommendations for Action Games with Time Manipulation

-

I’ve already played Dishonored, Superhot, Warframe, and Katana Zero. I’m looking for action games where I can slow down or stop time, or move at high speeds. I want to feel incredibly fast, weaving through enemies or taking them out before they even know what’s happening. Any suggestions?

Cyberpunk 2077 is your best bet here. With the Sandevistan build, you can really lean into that quicksilver vibe. A mod can even enhance this feeling by letting you slow time to an extreme. You get to feel invincible as you blitz through enemies without them even noticing.

Max Payne and F.E.A.R are legendary for having some of the best bullet-time effects in video game history. If you missed them back in the day, they are well worth playing now. The slow-motion mechanics really add an extra layer of fun to combat.

Quantum Break is another game that features time manipulation and offers a decent storyline along the way. Definitely give it a shot if you haven’t already.

For something a bit different, consider trying out Bayonetta. The Witch Time ability lets you slow down everything around you, making it feel like you’re lightyears ahead of the enemies in terms of speed and reflex.

Stranglehold ties in gunplay with slow-motion in a really fun way, much like an action movie. It’s a bit of a hidden gem but definitely fits what you’re looking for.

Trepidation with Severed Steel brings high-impact action with bullet-time mechanics. Definitely give it a try if you’re into fast-paced, stylish combat.

Have you tried Viewtiful Joe? It’s a classic with a unique take on stop-time mechanics. Super stylish gameplay, and it’s quite fun to mess around with.
