Hey everyone, I’m on the hunt for a captivating open-world game that seamlessly blends freedom with structure. I want something that feels like living a second life, where I can build a place to call home, farm, and partake in a variety of activities. My ideal game would offer both PvE and PvP elements, a gripping storyline or quest system, farming, livestock raising, resource gathering, crafting, and social interaction opportunities with other players. A companion system for those solo sessions would be a cherry on top. Games like Pax Dei, New World, No Man’s Sky, ESO, Valheim, Minecraft, Stardew Valley aren’t quite what I’m looking for. I’m yearning for an experience akin to the now-closed Gloria Victis. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Have you taken a look at Palia yet?
You might be in luck with a game mod like Minecraft with a focus on mine colony or comes alive. For something different, try Kenshi. It’s not entirely what you’re asking for, but it might scratch that itch. Saleblazers is a newer title you might want to explore.
Wurm Online could be what you’re looking for, as it covers many of the bases you’ve listed. Eco Global Survival cuts a bit short with no PvP and bi-monthly cycles. Icarus lacks MMO elements but works on local servers.
I initially overlooked Kenshi, but it does indeed feature farming and livestock. While it may not offer the depth of farming you desire, it’s worth noting that Valheim and Minecraft don’t exactly center around farming either.
