I’m on the lookout for a PS5 game that involves being part of a gang or group, featuring gadgets and a range of weapons, especially snipers. I’d love a game that allows for random NPC encounters and includes cool cosmetics like masks or noticeable hats. Something reminiscent of Watch Dogs Legion but with an enhanced gameplay experience would be ideal. The game can have a storyline, but I want the liberty to explore and engage in activities after completing it.

Check out Payday 2, though it’s better on PC than consoles. I’d recommend looking at Payday 3 for the PS5 despite it not having as many options for loadouts yet. Keep an eye on it because it could evolve into something great over time. Do a bit of homework on it before making your choice.
The Division has a 4-man Dark Zone that could suit your group-based gameplay desires. It’s a different angle but might give you some of the elements you’re after.
Have you tried any games from the Saint’s Row series? They have been known for their gang mechanics and might fit what you’re describing. I’m not entirely sure about the latest release’s state, but previous titles had tons of activities alongside the main story.
Red Dead Redemption 2 could be just what you’re looking for. It’s got an immersive world where you can be part of a gang. Plus, there are plenty of weapons to choose from and endless exploration opportunities even after the main story ends.
