Searching for a More Polished Moonlight Client for TV Streaming

-

I’ve been using a Bazzite machine to stream from my main PC with the Moonlight client via flatpack, but the overall experience leaves a lot to be desired—especially when it comes to controller support and general usability on a TV. I’ve seen better results on other platforms, like on AppleTV, and I’m considering switching to another fork like Apollo over Sunshine. Anyone else tried a different alternative that works better on Linux?

I get where you’re coming from. I’ve been down the same road with Moonlight on flatpack and even tried the appimage version on my Steam Deck. While the appimage does perform slightly better, it still doesn’t address all the issues, especially with controller customization. Switching to a fork like Apollo might be your best bet if you’re looking for a smoother, more refined experience.

Totally agree with you. The controller setup is often the weak spot here. Have you noticed any significant differences in performance when switching between these forks?
