I’m on a budget and can only buy one Resident Evil game right now. I’ve never played any of the series before, so I’m torn between Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4. Which one should I choose?

If you’re diving into the series for the first time, I’d say go for Resident Evil 2. It’s simpler and really captures the survival horror vibe, plus it has two separate campaigns to experience!

Honestly, if you’re leaning towards more action and gameplay variety, Resident Evil 4 is the one. But if you prefer a more tense and story-driven experience, definitely pick 2.

I’m all about Resident Evil 2! It sets up a lot of the story for 4, and the character interactions are way richer if you play it first. Plus, you can always grab 4 later on when it’s a bit cheaper after you enjoy 2!
